The Setting

The East Anton Nursery & Preschool has been purposefully built as a children’s nursery and designed to enhance every aspect of a child’s learning and development. It can be found just a 15-minute walk away from the main Finkley Down Farm site.

The children have unlimited access to the farm and use of all its facilities via a private gate. While it can be a little bit too much of a walk to the farm, we always “give it a go” in the warm weather. When it is a little too much or not a day to walk, we jump aboard Barry Bus who takes us there with time to spare.

We want to give your child a unique experience every day. Outdoors, the nursery has its own large garden which has been designed with children in mind and includes a sensory area, hard standing, vegetable plots, outside kitchen and so much more.

Indoors, we have done away with conventional rooms and created a free flow environment. Here the children are free to explore the ICT area, fully fitted child-size working kitchen, role play area, sensory room and many other places all with a family feeling atmosphere.
